Walsh has received two Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations in 2006 & 2008 and has won one Screen Actors Guild Award in 2007 for outstanding performance in the television series "Grey's Anatomy" [56 episodes: 2005-2009] sharing with other members of the crew.
Her lead performance as Moirat in the movie "Three Below Zero" [1998] has brought her Max Ophuls award in Germany.
Kate has won best actress award in 2002 at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival for her short film "Model Trapper".
Kate has appeared in many television commercials like Cadillac CTS and for Susan G. Komen Foundation in October 2006 for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
