Kate is an active supporter of pet adoption and frequently campaigns for the pets' cause.

On February 7th, 2008 Kate cut the ribbon to a new dog adoption centre named Pedigree Dogstore.

She has graced the covers of Jezabel Magazine on February 2006 and Oprah Magazine on October 2006.

Kate Walsh was voted #26th in After Ellen's Hot 100 List of 2008.

Kate was voted #52nd of Maxim's "Hot 100 of 2007."

In July, 2008 Walsh was nominated as a candidate on the Unite for Strength slate for a place on the national governing board of the Screen Actors Guild [SAG].

On September 18, 2008, Walsh was elected to serve on the SAG board for a three year term.

Kate Walsh married movie executive Alex Young on September 1st, 2007 in Ojai, north of Los Angeles. They both filed for divorce after fifteen months of marriage.

She is good friends with Hollywood actresses Sara Morris, Jamie Denbo, Corinne Kingsbury, Cynthia True and Sally Ann Brooks.
